Access Control

Access control cards, key fobs and readers let people through a door. That covers 125 kHz proximity cards, 13.56 MHz MIFARE and DESFire smart cards, HID iCLASS and Seos, sticker tags, plus the desktop enrolment and wall-mounted readers that read them. Each one carries the encoded identity your system checks before releasing a lock. The right card is the one your readers already accept, in a fitting people will actually carry.

Access control cards are standard CR80 credit card size, 85.6 x 54mm. PVC suits everyday printing and thicker clamshell holds up where cards take real punishment. Thin key fobs and clip tokens go on a keyring, while sticker tags fix to an existing pass. Printable ISO cards double as photo ID. DESFire is stocked as EV1, EV2 and EV3 in 2K, 4K and 8K, with iCLASS in 2K, 16K and 32K. Seos and combined iCLASS + Prox cards suit sites part-way through a migration. Several ISO cards carry a magstripe on the back for older swipe systems.

Paxton Net2 and Paxton10 cards, fobs and clamshells sit alongside PAC, ACT, Controlsoft, Salto key cards, Kantech ioProx and Indala tokens. Readers include PAC GS3, HID and Elatec TWN4. Most lines come in packs of 10 or 100, Salto fobs in 5s, Kantech keytags in 25s and Paxton Net2 ISO prox cards (692-052) in 500s. PAC ISO cards are punched on the long edge (21039/1) or short edge (21039/2), ten to a pack. Get in touch with your reader make and Plastic ID will confirm compatibility before you order. We can also source anything you cannot see here.

For door hardware such as electromagnetic locks and exit buttons, see ICS access hardware.
