If you need information on both sides, terms and conditions, a barcode or a second language, for example, the 600 Duo prints both in the same pass rather than needing the card flipped and run through twice. Security Built In as Standard Digital shredding fragments print data after each job, so the printer itself can't be used to recover what's been printed or access cardholder information. Beyond that, the Magicard 600 is threat-benchmarked; its software and system configuration are run against Nessus Pro, a widely used vulnerability assessment tool, which is the same standard of scrutiny you'd expect across the rest of your IT estate. HoloKote watermarking is standard too and pairing it with HoloPatch cards highlights one section of the watermark as a reflective, high-visibility seal, which makes your cards harder to replicate convincingly. IDP Smart-31 ID Card Printer Overview The IDP Smart 31 is a straightforward, entry-level card printer built for small businesses, schools, and organisations printing less than 100 high-quality ID cards at a time. How It Prints The Smart 31 uses IDP's FINE™ imaging technology to produce full-colour or monochrome cards with sharp detail at up to 156 full-colour cards an hour. It's built for standard photo ID: staff badges, membership cards and visitor passes, printed directly onto the card surface. A small, deliberate border stays around the edge of every card too, protecting the printhead so print quality stays sharp and consistent, card after card. With the right card design, this border is barely noticeable, and at a 300 dpi minimum, your cards look great fresh off the printer and for years afterwards. Please note: The Smart 31 can take optional magnetic stripe, contact and contactless encoding modules, so it can encode access control cards.
