Datacard Cleaning Kits

Datacard cleaning kits are the consumables that remove the dust, adhesive residue and card debris that build up inside a Datacard ID card printer. That build-up is what causes streaking and misfeeds. Regular cleaning keeps rollers, printheads and card paths working the way they should, which protects both your print quality and the printhead itself.

Which Datacard cleaning kit you need comes down to the machine you run and the part that needs attention. A Datacard cleaning pen is used directly on the printhead. Cleaner spindles are matched to specific ranges, so there is one spindle for the SD range and a separate spindle, part number 551148-001, for the SP range. The Datacard cleaning card kit, part 552141-002, runs through the printer like a normal CR80 card (standard credit card size at 85.6 x 54mm) and clears the roller path.

The adhesive sleeve cleaning kit, 569946-001, deals with the sticky residue that collects around card handling. The laminator cleaning card kit keeps the laminating rollers clear on machines that apply an overlay. Cleaning pens and cleaning cards suit routine maintenance between larger service intervals. The spindle and adhesive kits matter most on higher-volume setups where residue builds faster.
