Swiftpro Ribbons

Swiftpro ribbons and retransfer film are the consumables that put images onto your ID cards. They are matched to Swiftpro retransfer card printers, so colours land cleanly and the print sits under a protective layer.

Which Swiftpro ribbon you need comes down to what you print. The 7710004182 monochrome black ribbon, for the K30 and K65, suits names, dates and barcodes where colour adds nothing to the job. For photo ID and coloured logos, the 7710006156 YMCKK full colour ribbon carries the standard yellow, magenta, cyan and two black panels. The 7710006158 full colour UV ribbon adds an ultraviolet panel for print that only shows under UV light. The 7710006155 set combines a YMCK ribbon, the same colour panels with a single black, with retransfer film in one purchase. Retransfer printing uses film as well as ribbon, so the 7710006159 retransfer film is stocked on its own for topping up between ribbon changes.

Film on its own is GBP 63.00 and the combined set is GBP 259.00. Everything here is genuine Swiftpro stock.

Monochrome works for staff and visitor cards done in volume. The YMCKK ribbon and the set suit organisations issuing photo cards day to day. The UV ribbon adds a covert security element for access passes and membership cards that need verifying on the spot.

This range includes ribbons and film for the Swiftpro K30 retransfer ID card printer.

If you are not certain which consumable your model takes, tell Plastic ID your printer and we will confirm the right ribbon and film before you order, so nothing arrives that your machine cannot load.

Swiftpro ribbon guide

Every ribbon in this category is listed below with its type, prints per roll and part code. Check the part code against the ribbon your printer uses now. If you are not sure, call us on 0203 744 2333.

What the letters mean

• YMCK: full colour with a black panel but no overlay.
• Monochrome: a single colour, ideal for text and barcodes, with many more prints per roll than colour ribbons.
• Retransfer film: used with the colour ribbon in a retransfer printer. The image is printed onto the film, then bonded to the card.
