Evolis Zenius Ribbons

Every ribbon here is a genuine Evolis ribbon made for the Evolis Zenius card printer. Each one loads straight into the machine to print your ID cards in either single colours or full colour. Which Zenius ribbon you need comes down to what your cards have to show and how many you print between changes.

The monochrome ribbons print in one colour and give the highest yields. The black ribbon, part number RCT023NAA, is rated at 2000 prints. Single-colour ribbons also come in white RCT015NAA, green RCT014NAA, blue RCT012NAA and red RCT013NAA, with gold RCT016NAA and silver RCT017NAA for a metallic finish that works well on membership or loyalty cards.

For full-colour cards carrying a photo and a logo, the ribbon you need is the 5 panel YMCKO, part number R5F002EAA, rated at 200 images per roll. It uses the standard cyan, magenta and yellow panels with a black panel and a clear overlay for protection.

The black with overlay ribbon, R2F009NAA, prints text and barcodes that need a sealed top layer. The white signature panel ribbon, RCT021NAA, is rated at 1000 prints and gives the card a place to sign.

High-volume single-colour runs such as staff numbers or barcodes suit the black 2000-print ribbon, while visitor and event passes that need a photo point towards the YMCKO. If you are unsure which ribbon your card design calls for, the team at Plastic ID will talk it through and confirm the right choice for your Zenius before you order.

What the letters mean

• YMCKO: yellow, magenta and cyan for full colour, a black (K) panel for sharp text and barcodes, then a clear overlay (O) that protects the print.
• Monochrome: a single colour, ideal for text and barcodes, with many more prints per roll than colour ribbons.
