IDP Smart 51 Ribbons

These are the genuine print ribbons and laminate films for the IDP Smart 51 card printer. Every ribbon on this page also fits the IDP Smart 31. Between them they cover single-colour printing, full-colour photo ID and protective lamination.

The monochrome ribbons print roughly 1,200 cards each and come in black (659367), blue (659372), red (659371), white (659370), gold (659374) and silver (659373). If you print photo ID, the full-colour YMCKO ribbon (659366) handles 250 cards and the half-panel hYMCKO (659378) reaches 350, its colour panel covering a photo-sized band. For encoded or secure cards, the YMCKOK (659376) gives you a second black panel for the reverse and the YMCFKO (659380) adds a UV fluorescent panel for a security mark. Both run to 200 cards. The black resin and overlay ribbon (659385) prints hard-wearing text and runs to 600 cards.

Laminate film needs a laminator-equipped Smart 51L and each roll covers 250 cards: clear (659390), clear with a smart chip cut-out (659398), plus the Globe (659392) and Celestial (659405) hologram finishes.

Colour ribbons suit staff and visitor photo ID. For high-volume single-colour runs where cost per card matters, monochrome works out cheaper. Access cards that need a security feature call for the UV or second-panel ribbons. The laminate films matter most where cards face years of wear. Not sure which yield or panel setup fits your job?
