Plastic-ID supplies a wide range of cards, from blank cards for basic printing to smart cards with encoded technology for access control and other intelligent systems.

Smart cards or intelligent cards can contain a range of technology, including smart chips, magnetic encoding, tap encoding, and more. This can be used across a range of applications, from storing data (such as personal information for students in a school, for example), access control allowing for navigation around a building, print and copy release, cashless vending, event management, financial transactions, and library cards to name a few.

PVC and other material cards

All of our blank cards without smart technology are premium and high quality. Supplying only Fotodek plastic cards, Plastic-ID ensures consistent quality when printing your ID or membership cards. This reduces the rate of general wear and tear on your printer’s printhead mechanism.

We provide several different types of blank cards, including:

Biodegradable cards: Our biodegradable cards are the same as our PVC blank cards, but when disposed of, decompose into compost within three years. This is a great sustainable option for businesses of all sizes.

Coloured cards: If you are looking for something different for your ID cards, we provide a range of coloured plastic cards that are ideal for printing. We also have white plastic cards that feature a solid coloured core for a bespoke branded touch.

Plain white cards: Our plain white cards range from the standard blank card to cards that feature a magnetic stripe, pre-punched holes, and more.

Rewrite cards: Rewriteable cards are compatible with rewrite printers. They can be pre-printed with a full-colour design, and then personalised in monochrome black or blue thanks to the thermo-sensitive make-up of the card and the heat supplied by the rewrite printer.

Pre-printed plastic cards

To reduce time and costs, we provide a pre-printing service that means you only need to print personal details when you need an ID card.

We can print the background, including any security features such as holograms, UV overlay, and guilloche patterns. All you need to do is print the personalisation using your in-house plastic card printer.
