How the tap works

The card sits flush against the woven band and reads on contact with a compatible reader. Attendees tap to get through the gate or tap to buy a drink, with your event wristbands. That keeps entry moving and cuts down the cash your team has to handle on site.

Why it can't be passed on

A one-way plastic barrel fastener tightens the woven band and won't loosen once it's on. There's no unclipping it intact, so a wristband can't be taken off and handed to someone else to get a second entry and it can't be reused across sessions by someone it wasn't issued to. The only way to remove it is to cut it off.

Choosing the right chip

Start with what the band actually needs to do. Access control and session checks run fine on a straightforward chip. Cashless vending works best on a chip your payment system already recognises and these bands cover MIFARE Classic 1K, MIFARE DESFire, MIFARE Ultralight, NTAG213 and ICODE SLIX, so they are compatible with most event platforms.

Cards can be pre-encoded before they reach you, which saves setting up each band on site. Brand the woven band itself with your logo, event colours and icons, add sequential numbering to tie a wristband to a named guest or a specific day or add UV colour options for a check that only shows under a UV lamp. As your supplier, we'll confirm compatibility with your specific reader before you order.

If your event runs across several days

This band is built for single-event use. It can be used across multiple days but it can only be encoded once. If you're an organiser who needs the same credential handed back and reissued night after night, such as a venue running repeat sessions, our silicone RFID wristbands are the better fit. They're waterproof, take the same MIFARE chip technology and can be wiped and re-encoded for a new guest rather than replaced. Yes. The contactless card holds a balance topped up before the event, so guests tap to buy at bars and stalls without carrying cash. This does depend on the events system you're using, so please contact us to confirm that these wristbands are compatible.

Can someone take a band off and give it to a friend?

The one-way barrel fastener tightens but won't loosen, so the band can't come off intact for reuse. This makes it much more difficult to remove without cutting the wristband.

Will they work with our existing readers?

They support several common chip types including MIFARE and NTAG213. Tell us which system you run and we'll confirm the right chip before you commit.

Can we brand them for our event?
