Evolis Paper Cards – Pack of 100
Paper is a natural and renewable material, making these paper cards from Evolis a great eco-friendly alternative to using PVC plastic cards. As the demand for more eco-friendly alternatives to plastic products increases worldwide, these paper cards provide a way of reducing plastic usage in name badge printing without compromising on quality.
Despite being made from paper, a natural material, the cards are durable and have a high-quality feel and appearance just like their PVC counterparts. This means that they are ideal for use in the events industry but also for printing other temporary cards such as visitor passes or luggage tags.
The cards carry the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) label which means that the material used was sourced from forests managed in a sustainable way. They also meet the compostability standard EN 14995 (cf EN 13432). Paper is biodegradable in the natural environment within a few months.
Once the cards are no longer needed, they can be recycled in your ordinary recycling collection where they will be broken down into raw material and used in the production of new paper-based products. Shred your cards before recycling them if they have personal data printed on them.

The cards must be stored at a minimum room temperature of 23°C and the storage area must be free of moisture. Stored correctly, they will be capable of functioning for up to 2 years after the time of purchase. To ensure optimised print quality, avoid exposing them to direct sunlight, dust and high humidity.
Disposing of your cards
In many instances such as in the production of event name badges, visitor passes or luggage tags, you may be printing large volumes of plastic cards in-house that will only be used once before they are thrown away. Since PVC is difficult to recycle, plastic cards will often end up in landfill where it will break down into harmful microplastics that pollute the earth. PVC cards can generally only be recycled by specialists.
If you have plastic cards or name badges that you’d like to recycle securely, you can send them for recycling through us. Paper cards can also be recycled, but can also be composted or will break down fully within months if put into landfill...

Operation - User cards are supplied in wallets. Each card is packaged with a corresponding shadow card. Once installation of the system is complete, all user cards are valid and ready to be issued. To issue a user card, remove it from the wallet and write the user's name on its corresponding shadow card. The user may now use their card to gain access. This process is repeated for all users. About - PROXIMITY card packs are used with PROXIMITY compact, Easyprox compact and Switch2 systems. The cards are supplied in wallets. An intuitive "shadow card" system is used for ease of management.
Operation - User cards are supplied in wallets. Each card is packaged with a corresponding shadow card. Once installation of the system is complete, all user cards are valid and ready to be issued. To issue a user card, remove it from the wallet and write the user's name on its corresponding shadow card. The user may now use their card to gain access. This process is repeated for all users. If a card needs to be invalidated, the corresponding shadow card is removed from the wallet and presented to any relevant readers on the site. This invalidates the card.
This product is made of a type of plastic which is not commonly recycled in the UK. It, therefore, cannot be disposed of in your normal recycling refuse collection.

Please note that the variable data fields on your card are as per the column headers on your data spreadsheet. If you have fields that are likely to change, eg. expiry dates, then ensure these are added to your spreadsheet. Any fixed data (such as company name, address, etc) on your design will be printed the same on all cards and on any future orders unless you advise us otherwise.
When sending your data to us, please do so via a secure, encrypted method, such as website upload, a password encrypted Excel file or memory stick. If sending large files, we recommend using WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com) or a similar secure, GDPR compliant file transfer application. If using WeTransfer or sending via email, please address your artwork to bureau@idcardcentre.co.uk.
Please note that we will delete any data to be printed on your cards, including names and photos, from our systems 30 days after delivery of your order, unless you give us written approval to do so prior to this date. If you need us to store your data for longer than 30 days please advise us of this is writing stating how long we should retain the data for and why.
