Javelin

Javelin card printer ribbons for the J200i and J230i come as a YMCKO full colour ribbon rated at 200 prints and a six-panel YMCKOK ribbon rated at 170 images. These are genuine Javelin consumables, matched to the printer so colour stays consistent across a whole roll.

The Javelin YMCKO full colour ribbon for the J200i and J230i, part JVI-61123501, yields 200 prints and covers the yellow, magenta, cyan, black and clear overlay panels for everyday photo ID. There is also a J230i-specific YMCKO ribbon rated at the same 200 images, so a J230i will take either. The J200i/J230i part is the cheaper of the two at 32.00 GBP. The overlay panel, that clear O at the end, seals each card and helps it stand up to daily handling.

The six-panel Javelin YMCKOK ribbon prints 170 images and adds a second black panel. That extra K panel prints the reverse of the card in black, so this is the ribbon to reach for when the front carries a full colour photo and the back carries text, a barcode or terms and conditions. The 200-print YMCKO options suit reception passes, membership cards and staff badges where single-sided colour does the job.
