About the Printed Lanyards with Health and Safety Breakaway and Metal Dog Clip - #hellomynameis Pack Size: 10 Minimum Quantity: 50 Lanyard Length: 15mm Clip Type: Metal Dog Clip Health & Safety Breakaway: Yes Lead Time: 5-7 working days Dr Kate Granger, a consultant geriatrician from Leeds, started the hellomynameis campaign in 2013 after her own experience as a cancer patient. She noticed how often the doctors and nurses treating her never actually introduced themselves, and started the hashtag #hellomynameis with her husband Chris Pointon to ask something simple of healthcare staff: say who you are before anything else happens. The campaign spread far beyond what either of them expected; the hashtag has since passed over a billion impressions on Twitter, and it's been formally adopted across hospitals and care settings throughout the UK and beyond. Kate passed away in 2016, cared for in her final months at St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds. Chris has continued the campaign in her name ever since, and funds raised through it go directly to St Gemma's. 10% of the profits earned from our hellomynameis lanyards go straight to the charity. Hello My Name Is Lanyards, Card Holders & Name Badges We stock a range of hellomynameis products, including lanyards, card holders and name badges. A lanyard puts the message somewhere it's seen the moment staff walk into a room. A magnetic name badge does the same job and it's useful for staff whose uniform can't be punctured, or who'd rather avoid a pin catching on clothing during physical care. Card holders let you display an ID card alongside the message, so the visible commitment to introducing yourself sits right next to a patient's actual confirmation of who you are. Please note: Because every product here carries the NHS logo, orders must be placed using an NHS email address, with delivery to a registered NHS address...

Health and Social Care Printed Lanyards - #hellomynameis Pack Size: 100 Lanyard Length: 15mm Clip Type: Metal Dog Clip Health & Safety Breakaway: Yes This is a 15mm lanyard carrying the HSC (Health and Social Care Northern Ireland) and #Hello My Name Is logos together. They are fitted with a metal dog clip and a health and safety breakaway that releases cleanly if it's ever caught or pulled, then clips straight back together. Please note: We restrict the purchase of these lanyards to known care organisations. We may ask for proof of the organisation and your involvement with it prior to completing the purchase. This is to protect carers and people in care across the UK. Support worker and carer lanyards that build trust The #hellomynameis campaign started in a hospital, but has spread across the wider health and social care sector quickly. For domiciliary carers visiting someone in their own home, support workers, social workers, and key workers who often meet someone at their most vulnerable, introducing themselves is the first step to help someone. Wearing this lanyard makes that commitment visible before a word's exchanged. It's reassuring for the person being cared for, and a small, consistent signal across an entire health and social care workforce that introducing yourself properly isn't optional. Combine this lanyard with an ID card that provides a name, a photo of the person, and a company logo, and, along with their uniform, your staff can start building trust with the people they care for from the moment they arrive...

About the Printed Lanyards with Health and Safety Breakaway and Metal Dog Clip - #hellomynameis Pack Size: 100 Manufacturer Part Number: 06-3112-NHS-HMN-SC Clip Type: Metal Dog Clip Health & Safety Breakaway: Yes The hellomynameis idea began with Dr Kate Granger. Dr Granger went into hospital for treatment and noticed how often staff treating her didn't introduce themselves. What started as one doctor's frustration is now standard practice across much of NHS Scotland, with care staff wearing their commitment to introduce themselves visibly, rather than leaving it to chance. These lanyards help support this cause, and 10% of the profits from these go to Dr Granger's charity. Specification and Ordering Each lanyard comes with a metal dog clip and a single health and safety breakaway, fitted as standard, releasing safely if it's ever caught or pulled. The text and NHS Scotland logo are printed onto the 15mm lanyard using dye-sublimation for a professional finish, making them ideal for healthcare organisations across Scotland. Please note: Because this product carries the NHS logo, it can only be supplied to people working in the care profession, and orders must be placed using an NHS email address with delivery to a registered NHS address. Orders that don't meet these terms may be cancelled and refunded, so it's worth confirming these details are correct before you check out. What "Hello My Name Is" Actually Asks of Staff The campaign asks for one thing: say your name before anything else happens. It sounds small, but a patient who's anxious, in pain, or facing a diagnosis they don't understand often feels like they've lost control of the situation entirely. An introduction hands a small piece of that back. It turns "a doctor" into a person with a name, someone the patient can actually address rather than just be addressed by. That's the real purpose behind it. A genuine attempt to keep hospitals and care settings human at moments when they can feel anything but. Staff wearing this lanyard are making that commitment visible before they've said a word, so a patient or family member always knows the offer's there, even on a day when nerves make it hard to ask. Our hellomynameis range extends to ID badges, name badges and ID card holders, as well as NHS lanyards for England, Scotland and Wales, so please do explore the full range we have available while you are here...
