This is a highly intuitive label printer straight out of the box. The 2.7-inch LCD display panel makes day-to-day operation simple, even for someone who's never touched a label printer before. Media rolls swap over in seconds, and the built-in autocutter can be replaced by your own team when it wears out, with no need to book in an engineer. Between the display, the media handling and the autocutter, the C4000e brings a genuinely easy-to-use set of features and enhanced connectivity to a job that's traditionally been fiddlier than it needs to be. 

Connects into your existing systems 

The C4000e is designed to connect into existing systems rather than force you to build around it. Drivers are available for Windows, Linux and Mac, with ESC/Label and ZPL II emulation covering most label design software already in use across warehouses and retail back offices. SDKs for iOS and Android bring tablet printing into reach for teams who need to print on the move, and an optional Wi-Fi dongle adds wireless printing so the printer doesn't need to sit next to whoever's using it. 

Gloss or matte black ink, on a wide range of media 

The C4000e comes in two versions: one with gloss black ink, one with matte black ink. Whichever you choose is set at the point the first cartridge is installed and can't be swapped afterwards, so it's worth thinking about your primary media type before ordering. Gloss suits synthetic and glossy label stock, while matte black ink gives a deeper, more matte finish on uncoated papers. Both versions use the same individual cyan, magenta and yellow ink cartridges, and because each colour is a separate pigment ink cartridge, worn or empty inks can be replaced one at a time rather than as a full set. The pigment inks are fast-drying and hold up well against smudging, water and fading, which matters as much for a wine label heading into a fridge as it does for an event badge going round someone's neck all day.
