Introducing the Evolis Primacy 2: New and Improved Card Printing
The all new Evolis Primacy 2 is designed with the future in mind. Following on from its original counterpart, the Primacy 2 is an ID card printer that’s packed full of all the original features and more.
With added capabilities for increased security and optional upgrades and additional units available, you can customise this Evolis plastic card printer to suit your specific requirements. It’s ideal for businesses of all sizes – even those with high volume printing needs.
Print features and capabilities
The Evolis Primacy 2 offers single or double-side full colour (YMCKO) edge-to-edge printing up to 600dpi, with speeds of up to 280 cards per hour (single-sided colour printing). The colour profile, included as standard, also allows you to print your ID or membership cards as close to the card design presented on your screen.
With an additional 200-card input hopper, you can insert up to 200 cards and simply set the printer to run. This is ideal for organisations who need a high-volume ID card printer for a great price.
This plastic ID card printer also allows you to create re-writeable cards, meaning you can print, erase, and reprint cards* up to 500 times and reduce unnecessary print costs if you have a high number of cards that need producing against the amount of time they will be used for.
For users who need encoding options, there are several upgrades available with the Evolis Primacy 2. Create staff ID or membership cards your way with a magnetic stripe encoder or smart card encoders to match your access control system.
This ID card printer comes with USB and Ethernet connectivity as standard and is covered by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty with the option of extended warranty and a Wireless connection available.
User-friendly design
Featuring a classic, compact shape, the Evolis Primacy 2 is ideal for use in a workspace environment such as an office – no matter the size of the area. With dimensions of 24.7 (H) x 20.5 (W) x 38.2cm (D), it’s perfect for use on a desktop without taking up too much room.
The printer also features an LCD touchscreen as standard, with the option to upgrade to a colour LCD touchscreen display for those who prefer additional controls.
Security features
To increase security for users, the newer Evolis Primacy model offers an additional range of features that weren’t previously available.
As standard, the printer includes Digital Erasing, a feature that removes all data the printer has processed as soon as the print job is complete. This means that you don’t need to worry about any accidental breaches of data.
For further security measures, you can add Kineclipse® as an additional upgrade. This is a data masking process that covers any sensitive data left on used printer ribbons. After this process is complete, you no longer need to worry about data risks or finding a specialist destruction system, as the data cannot be retrieved and used fraudulently.
With the optional lamination module that can be fitted to the printer, you can add generic or custom holograms to enhance the aesthetic of your card and reduce the risk of card cloning and forgery.
The printer can also be mechanically locked using a key, so no unauthorised persons can remove any parts that contain sensitive information.
Compatibility
You can manage the printer with Evolis Premium suite (included), which can run on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating software. For the production of your cards, the Evolis Primacy 2 is supplied with CardPresso XXS software which allows you to create designs and templates for your cards, as well as printing barcodes, encoding magnetic stripes, and more.
