The printhead heats the ribbon and transfers the foil onto the label, so there is no ink or toner involved. When a ribbon runs out, you simply load a new one. Double-sided printing lets you put product information on both faces of a label. You need fewer labels to cover a display run, which saves media and keeps the counter tidy. A single-sided sign can only face one direction. A double-sided label is readable from both sides, so it works well for freestanding shelf-edge displays or hanging tags. Colour and size flexibility means you are not locked into pre-set formats. The print colour comes from the Symfoil™ ribbon you load, so changing colour is as simple as changing the ribbon. Labels can be designed in whatever size your display needs. A bold 90 × 75 mm shelf sign and a compact price tag for a small counter line are both possible, so you can build varied displays that catch the eye. Allergen and compliance labelling is something many food-service businesses use this printer for every day. Counter displays for fresh or prepared food need to show allergen information clearly, and the Symeyo™ lets you include that detail alongside the product name and price without having to outsource the printing. Software, connectivity and integration The printer ships with Symeyo Ultra-Lite label design and print software and a Windows printer driver.
