IDP Smart 31 Ribbons

These are the ribbons for the IDP Smart 31 ID card printer. The Smart 31 and the Smart 51 take the same ones, so every ribbon on this page fits both machines.

Monochrome ribbons print in a single colour and last a good while between changes. The 659367 black is rated at 1200 images. So are the coloured options: blue 659372, red 659371, white 659370, gold 659374 and silver 659373. Pick one of these for staff passes, membership and visitor cards where you don't need photographs.

Full-colour photo cards need a YMCKO ribbon, which lays down yellow, magenta and cyan for the image plus black and a clear overlay. The 659366 YMCKO covers 250 cards. The 659378 hYMCKO carries colour across only part of the ribbon, so a photo area prints in colour and the rest in black, stretching it to 350 cards. The 659376 YMCKOK adds a second black panel for the back of the card, across 200 cards.

Two ribbons cover durability and security. The 659380 YMCFKO adds a fluorescent (UV) panel for a security mark and runs to 200 cards. The 659385 black resin and overlay ribbon gives a harder-wearing print across 600 images. Both suit access cards and anywhere you want a print that resists wear or carries a covert check.
