IDP Smart 30 Ribbons

These are the printer ribbons for the IDP Smart 30 card printer: monochrome for text, full colour for photo ID and specialist secure finishes. The Smart 30 takes IDP Smart ribbons: 1,200 images from a monochrome roll, around 250 cards from the YMCKO colour ribbon. Each is designed to run in the Smart 30, avoiding the feed and calibration problems of mismatched consumables. Yields in the product names are images per roll.

The black monochrome ribbon (650653) prints 1,200 images of staff names, barcodes and simple text at the lowest cost per card. Blue (650665), red (650664), white (650663), metallic silver (650681) and gold (650682) match that 1,200-image yield, as does the scratch-off ribbon (650666), which hides PINs or promotional codes under a removable panel. The black ribbon with overlay panel (650655) adds a clear protective coat, at 600 images.

Photographs and logos need a colour ribbon. The YMCKO five-panel prints roughly 250 cards, laying down yellow, magenta, cyan, black and a clear overlay in one pass. The half-panel YMCKO (650640) reaches 350 images where only part of the card needs colour. The YMCKOK six-panel (650637) adds a black panel for printing the reverse. The YMCKFO with UV panel (659000) prints a security mark visible under ultraviolet light. Both are 200-image rolls.
