Print quality and speed for a working ID card programme

The N10 reproduces photo IDs, logos and colour-coded designs with the sharpness a professional badge demands at 300 dpi for up to 200 full-colour cards per hour. If you only need names, barcodes or numbering in black, switch to a monochrome ribbon and the printer reaches 600 cards per hour. That keeps costs per card low when full colour is not required.

Manual card feeding works by loading plastic cards one at a time through the front slot. That keeps the footprint small and the printer lightweight, and it suits any office that issues cards in small batches rather than processing hundreds in a single run. If you need to print on pre-encoded access cards or cards with a magnetic stripe, the manual feed slot lets you control exactly what goes in. The 128 MB of onboard memory handles card designs that mix photos, text and logos without slowing the print cycle down.

Connectivity, software and design

USB and Ethernet are both standard. You can connect the N10 directly to a single workstation or put it on the network and share it across a team. The bundle includes CardExchange Go, an ID card design and print application that covers everything from basic name badges to more structured card layouts. PC users receive CardExchange Go; Mac users receive CardPresso XXS instead. If you need a more capable design tool with a larger database or advanced workflow features, an IDAssist software upgrade is available at the point of purchase.

The N10 runs on Windows only. If your workstation runs macOS, check that the bundled CardPresso XXS meets your requirements before ordering.

Warranty, ribbons and ongoing supplies

The N10 carries a 3-year limited warranty covering the printer against manufacturing defects, which is longer than is typical at this price point.

The ribbon included in this bundle is the Pointman 66200740 YMCKO colour ribbon. Each panel set prints one full-colour card and automatically lays down a clear protective overlay that seals the surface, so the card resists scratching and fading in daily use. When the bundled ribbon runs out, replacement Pointman ribbons are available separately, including the 66200030-A black monochrome ribbon rated for 1,000 images per roll.

For additional card stock, plain white PVC cards in packs of 100 are available on site and are the correct size (CR80) and thickness for the N10.

If your card volume or workflow is likely to grow, the Pointman Nuvia N15 Printer Bundle adds a 100-card auto-feed input hopper, which removes the need to hand-feed each card individually.
