Act Cards

ACT cards and key fobs are the credentials your ACT access control system reads at the door, either a proximity card held up to a reader or a fob on a keyring. The range covers clamshell cards, printable proximity cards, ISO cards, key fobs and MIFARE Classic 1KB, all supplied in packs of 10. They are sold under the ACT, ACTpro and Acre names.

The printable options are standard CR80 size, the same 85.6 x 54mm footprint as a credit card, so they run through a direct-to-card printer and take a photo, name or logo on the surface. ACT ISO printable proximity cards use a 760 micron PVC body, rigid enough to sit neatly in a badge holder and print cleanly. ACT clamshell cards (ACTPROX-HS-B) are thicker and made for a badge clip. They do not go through a card printer. The duo cards pair proximity technology with a magstripe on the same card.

Both cards and fobs come in proximity and MIFARE Classic 1KB versions. The printable MIFARE Classic 1KB card is ACTMFCARD-B and its matching fob is ACT-MFF. On the proximity side the Acre key fob is ACTPROX-FOB-B. They are read by different readers and are not interchangeable, so the technology has to match the readers on your doors.

Printable ISO and duo cards suit sites that want photo ID and a door credential on one card. Clamshell cards work well where you need a hard-wearing card at low cost per user.
