Staff and membership cards that double as access passes need more than a decent photo print. The XID8600 is Matica's top-of-the-line retransfer model, delivering 600 dpi full colour double-sided printing sharp enough to render text as small as 1.3pt, ideal for photo ID, logos and fine security detail. It also handles a wide range of card materials, including PVC, Composite PVC, ABS, PET and Polycarbonate, so the card stock can be matched to how much wear and tear it needs to survive.

Built on a metal chassis for day-to-day reliability, it runs from a 200-card input hopper through to a 100-card output hopper, keeping print runs moving without frequent reloading. Security is built in as standard, with an electronic lock, a Kensington lock and IPsec data encryption protecting both the printer and the cards it produces. That level of print detail and security is also why the XID8600 is used for higher-stakes applications like national ID and driver's licence programmes, not just staff and membership cards.
