Zebra ZC300 ID Card Printer (Single-Sided) Overview
The ZC300 is built for organisations issuing ID cards regularly, not occasionally. It has card printing capabilities of up to 900 monochrome cards an hour, or 200 in full colour, so it's designed for keeping up with busy production runs. And at 300dpi edge-to-edge printing, your card design comes out exactly the way you want it every time. It's a strong step up from an entry-level printer without the cost or complexity of an enterprise system.

300dpi resolution

Speed and Card Handling
Single-sided, it runs 900 cards an hour in monochrome or 200 in full colour. The dual-sided version manages 450 monochrome or 140 full colour, printing both sides in the same pass. It prints to CR79 and CR80 cards, in PVC, PVC composite, and even adhesive-back or writable-back stock. The feeder adjusts automatically to card thickness, and because input and output hoppers share the same capacity, both empty and refill together rather than one running out before the other.
Built-In Security
AES data encryption protects card data as it's sent to the printer, and advanced host authentication stops unauthorised devices sending print jobs to it over the network. A Kensington lock point on the printer cover protects both the printer and any card stock or rejected cards inside it, which is vital for protecting information if the printer is sitting in a public-facing space rather than a locked office.
Encoding and Connectivity
Magnetic stripe encoding (high and low coercivity) and third-party contactless encoding are both available, so the ZC300 can produce access control cards as well as standard photo ID. USB and built-in Ethernet come as standard, with an optional WiFi upgrade if you'd rather avoid running network cable. It's compatible with Windows (including Server editions), Mac, and Linux.

Zebra ZC100 ID Card Printer with USB (Single-Sided)
The Zebra ZC100 single sided card printer supplied through Plastic-ID as an authorised Zebra dealer, built for organisations printing staff IDs, membership cards or event passes in-house rather than outsourcing to a print bureau. It connects via USB as standard, with Ethernet available as a field upgrade if you need it on the network from day one.
Built to replace the ZXP Series 1
The ZC100 is Zebra's direct successor to its ZXP Series 1 card printer and it's genuinely faster: up to 30% quicker in monochrome and 15% quicker in full colour than the model it replaces. If you're comparing specs against an older Zebra printer you've used before, these are the practical differences you'll notice on a daily basis and why upgrading now is a great option.
Security features that go beyond a locked drawer
AES data encryption protects card data as it's sent to the printer and printer-to-host authentication means only devices the printer recognises can send it a job in the first place, so a laptop plugged in without permission can't start printing your organisation's ID cards. Physically, the printer cover has a Kensington lock point built in, protecting the printer itself and the card stock loaded inside it from theft, useful anywhere it'll sit in an open reception area rather than a locked office.
Genuinely simple to run day to day
The card feeder adjusts automatically to whatever card thickness is loaded, so there's no manual recalibration switching between card types. The driver interface shows an on-screen preview of your design before it prints, which cuts out the cost and time of repeatedly printing test cards just to check alignment. Ribbon changes are built to be difficult to get wrong and Zebra's own engineering brief for this model was making it the slimmest printer in its class, so it sits comfortably on a reception desk or a shelf rather than needing dedicated floor space.

Zebra ZC100 Printer Overview
The Zebra ZC100 is a single-sided card printer built for straightforward, low to medium-volume ID card printing. It prints up to 150 full-colour cards an hour at 300dpi onto standard CR80 cards, with a plug-and-play setup and an automatic card feeder that adjusts to different card thicknesses without manual tweaking. Security is built in rather than added on: AES encryption protects card data in transit and printer-to-host authentication stops unauthorised devices sending jobs to it. It's a compact, business-appropriate printer suited to receptions, offices and customer-facing counters alike.

AES encryption protects card data as it's sent to the printer and printer-to-host authentication stops unauthorised devices from sending print jobs to it in the first place. On the physical side, the printer includes a Kensington lock point, so it can be secured to a desk rather than left free for anyone to walk off with, along with the card stock loaded inside it.
Day-to-day handling
The card feeder automatically adjusts to whatever card thickness you load, so there's no manual recalibration between batches. Ribbon changes don't need a manual either, each printer ribbon comes pre-loaded into a cassette for easy installation.
