HiTi CS-200e Single-Sided ID Card Printer Overview The HiTi CS-200e is a direct-to-card dye-sublimation printer built for organisations that print staff ID, visitor passes, student cards and access control credentials in-house. It is compact enough for a desk, straightforward to run and modular enough to grow with your card programme. Print quality and speed The CS-200e uses dye-sublimation for full-colour output and thermal transfer for monochrome, both at 300 dpi continuous tone. Continuous tone means colours blend smoothly across the card surface rather than breaking into visible dots, so photos and gradients look clean at card size. Edge-to-edge printing covers the full CR-80 card face with no white border. A full-colour YMCKO card prints in approximately 21 seconds. Switch to resin black and the CS-200e completes a card in approximately 4.5 seconds, which is useful when you need to issue a large batch of single-colour passes quickly. The YMCKO ribbon yields up to 400 prints per roll; the half-panel YMCKO variant stretches to 560 prints by using shorter panels, which makes sense for cards where the photo only covers part of the card. A resin black ribbon covers 1,000 prints. Card handling and compatibility The printer accepts standard CR-80 cards (53.98 × 85.6 mm) in PVC or polyester with a polished PVC finish, at thicknesses from 0.25 mm to 1.00 mm. The 100-card input hopper keeps the printer running without constant attention, and the 50-card output hopper collects finished cards neatly. The CS-200e connects via USB and runs on Windows 7 or later, including Windows 11, as well as macOS v.10.6 or above. The bundled CardDesiree CS design software is Windows-only. If you are on Windows 11 in S Mode, deactivate S Mode before installing it. Optional encoding and duplex modules Dual-sided printing. An optional flipper module adds automatic two-sided printing. You buy the base printer as a single-sided ID card printer and fit the module when your card design requires a reverse side. Encoding. For access control or smart-card programmes, three encoding modules are available as field-upgradeable additions: a magnetic stripe module (ISO 7811 Hi-Co and Lo-Co), a contact smart card module, and a contactless RFID module covering ISO 14443A/B, ISO 15693, MIFARE and HID iCLASS formats. Each module fits the existing chassis without sending the printer away for modification. High-capacity hopper. An optional 400-card input hopper is also available for higher-volume runs. Ribbons, cards and the bundle option The CS-200e takes its own ribbon format. Plastic-ID stocks the full range of HiTi CS-200e ribbons, including YMCKO full-colour, monochrome black, gold, silver and white options. If you need card stock, plain white PVC cards in CR-80 format are available in 480 and 760 micron packs of 100.
