Print Quality and Speed

At 600 x 300 dpi, the Magicard 600 renders even small text and fine detail legibly, and its wide colour spectrum gives a truer representation of photos and logos rather than flattened, over-saturated colour.

Compared to the Magicard 300, the 600 prints faster and at a higher quality. Full colour cards print at up to 190 cards an hour and monochrome up to 750. The 100-card input hopper means you're not stopping to reload every few minutes on a longer batch, either.

Magicard 600 or Magicard 600 Duo?

The Magicard 600 is available as a single-sided printer, or as the Magicard 600 Duo, upgraded for double-sided printing as standard. If your cards only need a photo and name on the front, the standard 600 covers it. If you need information on both sides, terms and conditions, a barcode or a second language, for example, the 600 Duo prints both in the same pass rather than needing the card flipped and run through twice. Both share the same print engine, speed, and security features.

Security Built In as Standard

Digital shredding fragments print data after each job, so the printer itself can't be used to recover what's been printed or access cardholder information. Beyond that, the Magicard 600 is threat-benchmarked; its software and system configuration are run against Nessus Pro, a widely used vulnerability assessment tool, which is the same standard of scrutiny you'd expect across the rest of your IT estate. HoloKote watermarking is standard too, and pairing it with HoloPatch cards highlights one section of the watermark as a reflective, high-visibility seal, which makes your cards harder to replicate convincingly.

Connectivity and Compatibility

USB, Ethernet, and WiFi (802.11b/g/n via the supplied dongle, with WPA/WPA2 encryption) all come as standard, so the 600 fits onto a network out of the box with minimal setup. It's compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 (32 and 64-bit), Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016, Mac OS, and Linux with CUPS support, so it isn't locked to one type of office setup.
